The GYSPOT INVERTER BP.LG (sold in the USA as the GYSPOT BP GENIUS, ref. 023550) was GYS's liquid-cooled inverter spot welder for high-strength steels, built around the GENIUS G-clamp: a 6 kg clamp with automatic electrode retraction (80 mm opening, 20 mm at rest), tool-free arm changes, a lockable gyroscope and a remote-controlled trigger. On a 3-phase 208–240 V supply it delivers 10,500 to 12,500 A and 550 daN of clamping force at 8 bar, with water-cooled cables, electrodes and caps.
Its AUTO mode recognises the steel type, sheet thickness, panel-bond adhesive and insulating layers between HSS, UHSS and boron sheets and sets the weld itself; six other modes (Normal, Manual, Multi, GYSteel, Manufacturer, Energy) cover every OEM procedure, and every spot is recorded to the SD card for reporting. Navigation is on a 5.7-inch LCD screen. Supplied new with the G1, G2, G3 and G4 arms, the arm support, the single-point gun and consumables.
This machine is no longer sold. GYSUSA still stocks its G-arms, electrode caps, consumables and many spare parts — see the lists below — and the current GYSPOT PTI range (NEO, MASTER, EXPERT and GENIUS PLUS) is its direct replacement, using the same G-arm family. Send us your serial number for anything not listed.
