Collection: Wire Reels

GYS welding wire — steel, stainless, CuSi brazing and aluminum wire reels in every diameter, from D.100 spot repair spools to D.300 production reels.

Welding wire for GYS MIG welders

The wires GYS specifies for its welders, in the spool sizes the welders take: D.100 spools for the compact single-phase machines, D.200 for the body shop welders, D.300 for production. Steel ER70S-6 in 0.6 to 1.0 mm, galvanized-steel ER70S-2, stainless ER316LSi, the aluminum alloys AlMg5, AlMg3, AlSi5 and AlSi12, and the silicon-bronze and CuAl8 brazing wires that the OEM repair programs call for on high-strength steels. Flux-cored no-gas wire is here for welding without a bottle.

Matching wire to the job

  • Body panels: steel 0.8 mm; thicker brackets and rails: 1.0 mm.
  • MIG brazing on UHSS: CuSi3 0.8 or 1.0 mm with argon.
  • Aluminum: AlMg5 or AlSi5 0.8 to 1.2 mm, with the ALU liner and tips.

Each reel page lists the diameter, the spool size, the AWS and EN classifications and the welders it suits. Wire ships from California the same business day; reels over 5 kg travel by Ground. Questions on a procedure: (415) 419-5824.
