About the range

GYS welding equipment, engineered in France

GYS has built welding machines at its own factory in Saint-Berthevin, France since 1964 — still family-owned, still manufacturing its own inverters. GYSUSA is the official home of GYS in the United States: the same machines, stocked in California, with technical support and consumables from a US team.

The welding range covers three jobs a body shop or fabrication shop actually needs: joining steel, joining aluminium and brazing, and cutting.

  • Steel & fabrication

    MIG/MAG welders

NEOPULSE and TRIMIG inverters for steel bodywork, chassis and general shop fabrication. Synergic control sets voltage and wire speed from the material and thickness, so a good weld does not depend on who is holding the torch.

  • Aluminium & brazing

    Pulse MIG — AUTOPULSE

Pulsed synergic welding for aluminium and silicon-bronze MIG brazing. Most OEM collision programs — GM, Ford, Honda among them — require a pulse MIG with brazing capability for modern high-strength and aluminium bodies.

  • Cutting

    Plasma cutters

Easy Cut inverter plasma for clean, fast cutting of steel, stainless and aluminium — panel sections, brackets and repair patches without the heat spread of an angle grinder.

Why pulse matters on a modern vehicle

Today's bodies mix high-strength steel, boron and aluminium, and each reacts differently to heat. Pulsed MIG puts the heat in as controlled peaks rather than a continuous arc, so you get penetration without warping thin or heat-sensitive panels.

It is also what makes silicon-bronze MIG brazing possible — the joining method most manufacturers now specify for coated and high-strength panels, because it bonds at a far lower temperature than steel welding and leaves the corrosion protection intact.

Consumables, spares and support

A welder is only as good as what feeds it. We stock genuine GYS torches, contact tips, liners, drive rollers and wire — the parts that decide whether the machine feeds cleanly on a Monday morning.
