About the range

GYS collision repair equipment, approved by the manufacturers

GYS has manufactured collision repair equipment in France since 1964. Its spot welders, dent pulling stations and riveting systems are homologated or specified by most major carmakers — which is what lets a certified shop use them on a warranty repair.

GYSUSA is the official home of GYS in the United States. Everything below ships from California, with parts, consumables and technical support from a US team.

OEM approvals, and what they actually mean

Manufacturers take two different routes. Some homologate named machines — the equipment is on a published approved list. Others publish a specification: a minimum current, clamping force and supply, and any machine that meets it may be used.

Both matter at audit, and they are not interchangeable. Our OEM approvals page sets out which is which for each brand, with the manufacturer's own document linked so you can check it yourself.

Arms, caps and consumables

A spot welder lives or dies on its arms and electrode caps. We stock the full arm range, caps, cap holders and coolant hoses, and the dies and rivets for the riveting side.
