GYSFLASH 101.24 CNT FV (ref. 025967) — GYS's 100 A connected charger and power supply for 6 V, 12 V, 16 V and 24 V lead-acid or lithium batteries (standard lithium-ion and LFP). It holds the battery at a stable voltage during diagnostics and programming, so one unit covers 12 V cars, 24 V trucks and the 16 V lithium low-voltage batteries used in recent Tesla models.

  • Charging: 6, 12, 16 and 24 V lead or lithium batteries, 5 to 1,200 Ah
  • Diagnostic support: up to 100 A on 12 V, 16 V or 24 V vehicles
  • Showroom mode, plus a tester for battery, starter and alternator
  • Flexible Voltage: runs on any supply from 85 to 265 V; full power on 240 V, reduced output on a 120 V outlet
  • USB: add or change charging modes and profiles, export the charge history
  • 5 m (16 ft) charging cables, made in France

For Tesla: recent Model S, X, 3 and Y run a 16 V lithium-ion low-voltage battery (S and X since the 2021 refresh, 3 and Y from about 2021–2022); older models use 12 V. The 101.24 covers both, and GYS has a video of it supporting a Tesla's 16 V battery (with the photos). It stops at 24 V, so for the Cybertruck's 48 V system use the 53.48 or 51.48. For spot welding, follow Tesla's repair procedure and disconnect the low-voltage power first.

What the amps mean: while a car is awake in the shop for diagnostics or calibrations, its computers, fans and pumps keep drawing current. The support unit supplies that current at a set voltage, so the battery doesn't drain and the session isn't cut short by low voltage. The 101.24 gives up to 100 A on 240 V (89 A continuous at 12 V), and about 72 A at 12 V or 50 A at 24 V on a 120 V outlet: twice the 50 A GYSFLASH models, for vehicles that draw more while awake.

What's automatic, and what you set:

  • It starts by itself. With Auto-Detect on, connect the clamps and the mode you selected starts after 3 seconds, no button to press. You can switch Auto-Detect off in the settings.
  • It charges by itself. The charge runs start to finish without supervision (8 steps for lead, 9 for lithium): it checks the battery, brings back a deeply discharged one from 2 V, charges it, then holds it full, so it can stay connected.
  • It restarts by itself. After a power cut, Auto-Restart starts it again with the same settings.
  • You set the rest. Choose the mode (lead or lithium charge, Diag+, Showroom or Tester), then the battery type, its voltage (6, 12 or 24 V; 16 V takes the extra step below) and its size in Ah; in Diag+, the voltage to hold and the maximum current. The unit does not pick the voltage for you: it checks the battery first and stops with an error code if it doesn't match, a 24 V battery in 12 V mode for example.
  • 16 V for Tesla takes one extra step. As delivered, Diag+ offers 12 and 24 V. The 16 V setting comes with the Car Extended setup of GYS's free configurator (next point), loaded once from a USB stick.
  • Optional: GYS's free configurator. Most shops use the unit as delivered and never need it. The configurator is a free GYS web page (no account, nothing to install) that makes a small settings file you load from a USB stick, to add extra modes: 16 V for Tesla, Change Battery (keeps the car powered while you swap its battery, so the modules keep their memory), start assist, an adjustable power supply or forklift-battery charging.
